What does it take to retire well today? What can new, existing, and soon-to-be retirees do to live a happy, healthy, and connected retirement? The first step is realizing that retirement isn't just about money. It's about you... your relationships, legacy, body, mind, and spirit. Securing a satisfying retirement in today's world means spending some time outside of the dollars and cents to strengthen your relationships, develop wellness habits, and prepare for the mental, social, and physical aspects of retirement.
In order to help you accomplish this, we have develop some one-of-as-kind tools to help you get there:
One of my favorite quotes comes from Benjamin Franklin who said, "An investment in knowledge pays the best interest." Over the years I've come to
learn that as people prepare, and actually begin to retire, their desire to learn, stay informed, connected and relevant can actually increase.
As you take steps to make your time during retirement the best that it can be, we want to be a helpful, inspiring, and useful resource for you.
Adding these valuable insights from our guides and newsletters to your already existing knowledge base can help you avoid common retirement
missteps, make your retirement more meaningful, and help you create a no-regrets retirement plan. One where your personal values and beliefs
produce the personal and financial legacy you and your family deserve.

As you can tell from our guides, reports, and other communications we enjoy telling stories to help illustrate our beliefs and philosophy.
One of our favorites captures the essence of our planning approach:
"A retired grandfather was watching his grandchildren while his daughter was at work. He was struggling to find the motivation and patience to
make the most of his time with them. His task was complicated by one grandson who was constantly bored and couldn't stay focused on a single
task.
Grandpa tried several activities to occupy this little one, but nothing worked ... and he was getting frustrated. Finally, he picked up a
magazine, flipped through it, and stopped at a brightly colored picture of the Earth. He pulled the page out, ripped the picture into bits,
and scattered them on the floor. He told the busy boy, "If you can put this puzzle back together, I'll give you a dollar." This, he assumed,
would occupy the kid for some time.
Not ten minutes later, his grandson walked up to him, smiling ear-to-ear, with the puzzle completed. The grandfather was impressed to see
that he had finished so quickly, and that all the pieces were neatly arranged and the picture of the world was back in order. "How did you
finish so quickly?" he asked. The proud young man replied, "Easy! There was a picture of a person on the other side of the world. I just
put a piece of paper on the floor, put the picture of the person back together, and then flipped it over. I figured if I got the person
right, the world would be right too!"
Grandpa laughed, handed his grandson a dollar, and thanked him for the valuable life lesson: "If the person is right, the world will be
right too.""
We firmly believe that once we help individuals and couples get their personal retirement plans on track, it's much easier to address the
financial issues. Walt Disney once said, "When your values are clear your decisions are easy." A meaningful statement that's best supported by
integrating your beliefs and values into your retirement plans, strategies, and portfolio.
